Histology

The Scripps Florida Histology Core (SFHC) is able to provide full histological services as well as technical support for investigators. The lab is equipped with the appropriate ventilated working areas and equipment to prepare, process and stain frozen or paraffin embedded specimens.

About the Histology Core

Tina Van Meter, HT (ASCP), is a nationally certified histotechnician and has many years of experience in various histological methods that are utilized in research laboratories. Her primary focus has been in special stains, immunohistochemistry/immunofluorescence and electron microscopy techniques.

The services are provided to the research community at UF Scripps at a reduced cost.

The Histology Core is located in Building B, Room #244C

Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
