Overview

The Society of Research Fellows is proud to support the annual Research Fest: Scientific Symposium and Vendor Show at UF Scripps on our Jupiter, Florida campus. Each year, over 40 postdoctoral associates and graduate students give oral and poster presentations to the local scientific community. Additionally, prominent scientific vendors and suppliers are invited to showcase products and information to hundreds of researchers from some of the top research institutes and universities in South Florida.

Why Participate

Research Fest is the perfect opportunity for scientific vendors to connect with the diverse and ever-growing research community throughout South Florida (including UF Scripps, the Max Planck Florida Institute, Florida Atlantic University, Palm Beach State College and more) and educate them about their products. Typically, more than 300 people attended Research Fest.

We are committed to ensuring vendors receive maximum benefit by participating in Research Fest. Each vendor table will be located by scientific posters to encourage traffic in your area (with the exception of outdoor tables). We also hold prize drawings to incentivize attendees to visit your booth and learn more about your products.

Vendor Registration

Reservations are made on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis and are only confirmed upon receipt of payment. Payments are nonrefundable unless a replacement vendor can be found. If your check is unable to be processed, you will lose your reservation.

All vendors are required by Scripps Research to complete a mutual non-disclosure agreement and provide a Certificate of Insurance.

Scientific Symposium

Our scientific symposium serves as a forum to gather scholars, industry representatives and the surrounding scientific community to exchange ideas and engage in dialogue. In addition, this symposium is a unique opportunity for new and developing scholars to showcase the outstanding research that is being conducted at the Jupiter campus of UF Scripps to the neighboring scientific community. We encourage and invite our student-researchers who have participated in the symposium in previous years to do so again this year. For those researchers who have not been involved in the past, a personal invitation is being extended to you to be involved in this year’s symposium.

The applicants for posters and oral presentations will be selected on a competitive basis, judged by UF Scripps faculty members. You must be a UF Scripps postdoctoral associate, Skaggs graduate student or external graduate student conducting research at the UF Scripps campus to apply.
