The International Services Office (ISO) at The Wertheim UF Scripps Institute welcomes international employees, visitors, and their families. We invite and host international employees and visitors for collaboration in research, teaching, and training. Arriving in Jupiter, Florida

The mission of the International Services Office (ISO) is to provide support services in a welcoming environment designed to actively promote international exchange and further the research and training goals of The Wertheim UF Scripps Institute.

ISO staff can support you in many ways, including with immigration expertise; personal, social and cultural matters; travel questions; employment questions; support for dependents; and resources to support you on campus and in the community.

Mary Schrot is the Immigration Specialist for The Wertheim UF Scripps Institute in Jupiter, Florida. A native New Yorker, Mary earned her bachelor’s degree in business economics at The State University of New York at Oneonta, NY. Through SUNY Oneonta, she studied abroad at The American University of Rome. Her experience in Rome shaped her career path and her desire to help others experience studying and living in a country other than their own. She spent a year in Phetchaburi, Thailand teaching English to college students before returning to the U.S. to complete a master’s degree in Intercultural Counseling at Lesley University. She has been working as an International Student and Scholar Advisor for 30+ years and thoroughly enjoys working with people from all over the world.
